The film is centered around the Thirty-Sixth ABAA California Bookfair (2003) in San Francisco. The film focuses on the business of book selling, collecting and the fascinating diversity of material ABAA members present. There is a Tolkien signature at 20:13, but fortunately not in blue ink. Some very apt comments on eBay and fakes at 42:17, including an eBay representative giving some guff about Private Auctions. It is no surprise that nothing seems to have changed on eBay in the last eight years after the film was made  |
