Who else was going to publish tie-in editions? It was either HarperCollins or no one. And, since we know that HC had commercial interests in the LR films (beyond selling film-cover books), is it any wonder they are similarly on board with The Hobbit --as they presumably have a cut in the film's profit (as with LR). Makes sense to promote it. BH |
