Subject: Re: Bloemfontein trip. by Stu on 2011/6/14 3:10:41 There is apparently a Tolkien-oriented Victorian Guesthouse there, but, having spent a good few nights in an entirely different "Victorian Guesthouse" over in Randfontein (near Joburg), I would be wary - Everything (and I mean everything) had tassles, frills, velvet and gilt edges. It was truly horrible. All this, placed right next to a fairly large tailings dump that you just KNOW chucks arsenic, uranium, cyanide and all other manner of toxic crap into the air when it is windy.... Ahhh, memories.
