Subject: Re: _Fall of Arthur_ in 2013? by Khamūl on 2012/8/25 11:52:57 Aye, don't know if you recall the story; I'll tell you anyway... LotRs in the 2004 (> present day) deluxe incarnation was RRP £100, although heavily discounted by Amazon to £60. H was RRP £60 I think. Anyway, clearly they weren't sure about CoH & flirted with £80 as a price tag. Amazon accidentally listed it at £0.80 though. I ordered five copies, for no other reason than I thought the order would be cancelled. It wasn't listed at that price for long. Anyway, it was eventually listed properly & I ordered a deluxe & a normal trade edition. But the old order remained. And, despite it being a pre-order (& therefore I hadn't paid for it; no contract as such), Amazon fulfilled the order. Think I even emailed them to ask what they'd do if I didn't cancel it. But it shipped for £4 plus £5 postage. Wonder what they'd have done if the order had been for 50 copies... (Pieter, if I recall, ordered a few at this price too.) BH |
