Subject: Tolkien Studies IX by wellinghall on 2012/9/4 13:07:00 Tolkien Studies: An Annual Scholarly Review, volume IX, arrived yesterday. Despite being delayed until September, it only runs to 150 pages of text - none of them primary texts by JRRT - yet weighs in at a whopping $60 + $10 p&p. Yet the book reviews sectiion has the gall to describe another book as "slim" at 245pp and "expensive" at $53! My advice is to think carefully before buying this one, folks ... - wellinghall |
