Subject: John Wyatt photograph of Tolkien - February 1968 by Trotter on 2012/11/20 21:53:35 John D. Rateliff has posted about the new December 2012 UK EMPIRE film magazine. Most of the magazine is about the PJ film, but it also includes an article on Tolkien and a photograph of Tolkien that I was not familiar with. This is a John Wyatt photograph taken in February 1968. Tolkien is wearing glasses and holding The Adventures of Tom Bombadil. You can see the location at the end of the BBC Tolkien in Oxford documentary at about the 24 minute mark, Tolkien was probably photographed shortly before or after this section of the film.
