Just a quick question. On the Address Label on the Outer Shipping Carton - Is the copy number of the book printed there. I ordered 2 copies and there are 2 numbers printed on the Address Label. I have not opened the shrinkwrap as of yet, so I was just curious if this number matched the copy number of the book. Many Thanks.

Awesome! Sounds like they held ten copies for various special people (I'm sure Christopher, Alan, etc.) and you got the first copy publically available. Just a guess, but you do have a good relationship with David.

Put this up just in time for the holidays. I got this copy from Patrick Breen, the son of Walter Breen and Marion Zimmer Bradley (noted names from Tolkien fandom in the 60's and early 70's.)
I hope it makes someone a nice present!
