Guest_
this is the first time i have visited this site. i have a variety of items in which i want to sell but have not the time to do it on e-bay. so i was wondering if anyone can suggest a particular web-site or auction in which to sell the items . i have a hardback first edition of smith of wootton manor. an adition of farmer giles of ham. artwork posters by a range of artists. aswell as a variety of books, Hobbits companion and Tolkeins world. so im afraid i am having to ask you as i have triedweb sites and seem to go in circles. thankyou for your time and look forward to a reply.

This DVD/BluRay review by someone called J.W.Brawn calls for Tolkien experts to provide some depth (about 13 minutes into the socalled review) to The Lord of the Rings films, he thinks these individuals are suitable, Cliff Broadway and Rebekah Platt.

Who are these people and how are they Tolkien experts? I'm sure we could provide the names of real experts

We've seen this sort of 'disclaimer' before:

"The work is not supplied with certificate of authenticity and guarantee (as has never been subject to assessment, evaluation expertise) and then, having regard to the recognition and similarity to the style of the author, is proposed as a copy of copyright, falsecopyright, in the manner of the author, under Article 8 of the Law of 20 November 1971, n.1062 (Official Gazette No. 318 on December 17)"

Garbage. Complete garbage.

Nienor was said to have fled "swifter than a deer, and tore off all her clothing as she ran." It's now quite obvious from this (most authentic) piece of art, that Tolkien really meant that she rode on the back of a swift deer and tore off her clothing as it ran (alongside her dog).

I don't understand how Christopher could have missed this during his edit of the Silmarillion. Sheesh.
