"Huge Lot of 11 Vintage Lord of the Rings Figures"
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... &ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Um, no. 11 figures is *not* a huge lot!

"I don't think I have what it takes to be a "true fan/collector"; I don't want to fill my house with crap, I definitely don't have a 'Hobbit Name'*, I haven't got a car painted with pictures of C-Grade celebrities... I need to find a hobby that I am good at. Sigh."

Me too.

*I could be your cousin, Doofus. people would say, 'Meet the Gloomfoots / I mean Gloomfeet!"

And one from Wellinghall's list -

"The New Tolkien Newsletter : A Review of the Works of J. R. R. Tolkein. " (sic)

Of course, one could just laugh at Giddings and Holland - when I joined the Tolkien Society, one of the first articles I read in Amon Hen was a review of 'The New Tolkien Newsletter' by Jessica Yates, called 'Who do they think they're Gidding?' (AH 50, IIRC).

So bad, it's funny.

A quote from 'Various' -

"There are five books in total, which includes Tales From The Perilous Region. "

I don't have that one.
