The White Tree Fund is starting up a new journal. I am a bit late in finding the call for submissions (they are due this Friday) but perhaps someone out there has something ready to go and was just looking for a place to send it.
Silver Leaves page on TCG Silver Leaves official website From the official website: "Silver Leaves (SL) is the official journal of The White Tree Fund (TWTF). The purpose of SL is to educate, raise awareness, support charitable initiatives, and entertain. SL accepts submissions from established scholars, authors, and artists as well as from those new to the publishing world. While the focus of SL is on TWTF's mandated humanitarian efforts, particularly those from within the Tolkien community, SL is open to scholarly and creative submissions from other fandoms according to the theme of the up-coming issue. Each issue may include a range of topics in features such as academic essays, creative writing, and featured artwork; interviews and event reports; artistic spotlights on costuming, weaponry, handmade items, and writing by invited guests; puzzles; humanitarian, community, and volunteer updates; and book and movie reviews. Silver Leaves will be available in printed and electronic formats to members of TWTF and to non-members who purchase subscriptions."

Well, the auctions have ended, so I thought I would sum up the thread with the closing bids, as they seem to give a good representation of the current value (auction) for the books (US exchange rate as of June 13 according to eBay):
Volume I: Ł300.00 ($592.50) Volume II: Ł180.00 ($355.50) Volume III: Ł125.00 ($246.88)

I've added Beren's TolkienLibrary.com widget for tracking content to the Tolkien Online section of the Guide. Let me know what you think of it, vs. the (completely ugly) RSS feed code that I have been coasting by with. Anyone have troubles with the flash code? If not, I will probably widgetize all of the feeds in that section.
Great find Beren!

I added a bunch of images of the Philippine Tolkien Society's buttons.
They also sent me scans of their fanzine, Quento which has now been added to the Guide database. Thanks, Ian!
