She didn't last year, I understood because of health problems. Don't now if she will be able to attend upcoming Oxonmoot!

Foyles in London had copies of the Children of Hurin on sale yesterday and this morning, so I went over to pick up a copy.

They had obviously been told by Harper Collins to stop selling the books but they were still in store, so I bought a copy (£15.99 instead of £18.99, hopefully most bookshops will sell them with this reduction).

I have no intention of spoiling next Tuesday's launch for anybody so will not discuss anything in the book at all, except that in all the copies in Foyles (about 20), the first section of the book is bound upside down, so when your buy your copy make sure that this section is printed correctly.

All right, one impression the pictures are very good, Alan Lee has done a fantastic job once again and I am hoping that he has some of the prints available for sale.

Tinfang,

That would be great!

If we both come across the find of a century, do we flip a coin for it?? ha!

Does Priscilla Tolkien still attend Oxenmoot?

I have been reading Michael Drouts Blog page and I thought everyone might be interested in this:

"Tolkien Studies volume 4 is just about ready to go to the printer. It is perhaps our best issue, and includes a reprint of Tolkien's "The Name Nodens," a text which is oftentimes very hard to get."

The blog page is here:

Another thing to look forward to!!
