I found this on eBay today. Is it a new edition of the paperback edition of LoSaG? Or is there another explanation? (Perhaps a pre-publishing cover design?) The seller mentioned '2010' as the publishing year, so it has to be a new edition. I wouldn't have thought that that many copies were sold of the LoSaG...
No matter what it is, I think it is a beautiful design...

When you say you're hoping for some help; what sort of help do you mean? If it's a valuation, then sorry: I for one have no expertise in that sort of thing. We can give you some background on how the records came to be made though, if that's what you want.

I see the original article has Tolkein's (sic) name wrong. Nothing changes, does it?

*The Dead Past II.* /50 Years Ago/, Kenneth F. Slater brought good news: 'ORDERS ARE NOW BEING TAKEN by the publishers for Professor J.R.R. Tolkien's promised new work, provisional title, THE SILMARILLION, which recounts the earlier history of The Ring. The publishers still can't give a date or a price for the work, but this acceptance of orders is a step forwards.

I have recently acquired "Book Publishing as a Career", by Philip Unwin. I haven't read it yet, but I have checked the index, and there's no mention there of Tolkien.
