Thanks Remy, the White Paperback is also 894 pages with a small font, so this copy must have a larger typeface, I think I will get a copy.

I haven't examined the text at all and am not sure if any of the text has been revised.

But as to physical size. It is indeed quite a bit larger than the earlier edition. It measures 7.75 Inches x 5 Inches x 2 Inches and has 894 Numbered Pages.

It matches the New Children of Hurin, 3 Vol Lord of the Rings, Alan Lee Illustrated Hobbit and the History of the Hobbit Paperbacks (8 Paperbacks in all) - All published on the same day.

I recently saw the new version of Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull's The Lord of The Rings A Reader's Companion in my local bookshops in England with this cover

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/im ... oks&qid=1209576659&sr=1-1

I have not had a chance to look at the book, but the physical size of the book looks a lot bigger than the previous paperback

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/im ... oks&qid=1209576700&sr=1-3

and the original Hardback.

Does anyone have this book and know if it has been changed at all, or is it just much bigger text?

Thanks in advance for any help as always.

Hi folks

My clear-out of Tolkien books is nearly complete! There are just a few left. If you are interested, I'll take the first reasonable offer, plus p&p.

Untangling Tolkien, Michael W Perry, large p/b
The Culture of Middle-earth, F MacDonald Kells, small p/b
The World of Tolkien, David Day, large h/b
The Hobbit Companion, David Day, large h/b
LotR Official Movie Guide, Brian Sibley, large h/b

Cheers
