There is a photo up on Amazon.com (U.S.A.) of the deluxe edition Children of Hurin.

http://www.amazon.com/Children-Hurin- ... R-R-Tolkien/dp/0618904417

I thought it was a bit curious that the Houghton Mifflin version looks a lot like the Harper Collins version. This was not the case with 50th Ann. Lord of the Rings. I wonder what the differences are. For one thing, the price is a lot less. Amazon lists the Houghton version at $47.25 USD, while the Harper Collins UK version is listed currently at £42.00 GBP (or about $80.70 USD).

I got the story behind the 1983 Antioch that I had been looking for for years from the seller. Seems she collects cookbooks and it was tucked in between some in a lot that she bought at a garage sale. She was sorting out the unwanted ones and the calendar in her throw away pile. However, she decided to eBay it thinking that someone might like collect unicorn illustrations (which is what is on the cover). One man's trash . . .

Away from The Green Hill Country,

Parmastahir

Well done Dior! That was a nice gesture... Does anyone know by chance more about "Remy"... he has done some posts here. But I can't find more info and wish to contact him (her).

And the winner for the February drawing is.... Dior! I used random.org to generate a random number against my list of contributors, so you were chosen by atmospheric noise.

Let me know what you would like on or offline, and I'll get it off to you. I'll have a list of mathom's for March as soon as you pick something, and the list of contributors is already gathering.

I can't argue with more advertising (yes please!), but numbers are growing reasonably for such a young site. I think the amount of discussion / traffic will go up exponentially when I actually get some book content on here instead of all this other stuff. (There are just so many good book sites, I always find myself poking at fanzines or other items that are hard to find online... I really will start the US book upload soon, I have a ton of scans and info to do.)
