This one is even worse, just a rehash of the original anti-Tolkien reviews, suprised he does not mention 'Boys own tale'

I never seem to find those ridiculous prices!

Right now I just have the US and UK Deluxe and hardcover editions ordered, and one of the Alan Lee signed ones pre-ordered (from the exhibition).

I knew that setting out... I will never be done! But that won't stop me from trying.

To whet your appetite a little bit, I found this gem this evening - a one hour audio interview with Tom Shippey from 2001:

Myth Makers Radio Interview

Send me more links to online content, or anything else! I have to start somewhere.

... for permission to reproduce images of their very nifty looking bookplates. They have been added to TCG with their own page.

The Philippine Tolkien Society

I love the artwork, and the bookplates are still available for order through their official website (which is mostly in English).

It is almost inconcievable, but apparently not imposible, that he could mispell Tilkeon (hee hee!)

It is assuredly Sauron. The Palantir (from Minas Ithil) aside, he has only four fingers on his left hand. But how evil could he be if he has cat's whiskers! Nice kitty!

I will leave the deciphering of the text above his head to my betters.

Away from The Green Hill Country,
