I have the new copies of Wayne Hammond's Bibliography in hand now, so they are listed on my website. You should be able to find them through this link:

J. R. R. Tolkien Bibliography on rowns.com

[If not just drop me a note]

Use the coupon code "thankyou" (no quotes) for the 10% off I mentioned.

If you have any questions email me or post here. Thanks again for your interest!

I am still waiting to get my copies (living in the US, I am dependent on a friend in the UK who is travelling here to visit soon. Unfortunately the trip keeps getting postponed, now planned for February. Saves on shipping costs though!)

I would definitely contact Harper Collins about getting a replacement. The bookmarks shouldn't fray like that, straight out of the box. They will give you a higher number than the one you currently have, so if #34 has special meaning for you keep that in mind (but I think a nice bookmark has more lasting value than a particular number in this case.)

I definitely think that these editions are much enhanced by having original sketches and signatures from the illustrators - it is one of the few ways to make them unique and differentiated from other Easton Press copies (which are quite nicely made, but generally easily available.)

Hi Deagol,

thanks for the images. I matched up your information with what Gary Hunnewell provided me to put up some stub pages on the TCG page.

Doing some additional digging, I found a website from 2003 for the creators of this fanzine (which, unfortunately, does not have a working email address for me to contact for more info.)

http://users.tinyworld.co.uk/millifalcon/index.htm

It does mention that the title is pronounced "Eric!" and that both issues were produced in 1986 (not 1985 for issue #1). Do you know if the issue itself mentions when it was published? Have any other information available to confirm the 1985 date?

Anyone have current contact information for any of the editors? Even on the website there are no full names mentioned.

Was this fanzine associated with the Tolkien Society or a smial, or independent?

Thanks!

Ran across this nice interview with John recently (clearing out the backlog of news and other stuff that gathered over my very busy holidays)...
