I put together a navigation scheme for the fanzines section using the right sidebar for quick jumps to other areas - saving a lot of back clicks. Let me know what you think.

Also finished the first pass on the Sideshow Collectibles and Knickerbocker pages for the guide. Some images need more work, but at least something is up.

gearing up for a massive book update soon.

Tinfang_warble put in a Belgian fanzine I wasn't aware of. Thanks! Other updates welcome as well.

There are currently four issues of Sphere magazine up for auction on eBay -

Pauline Baynes Sphere search results on eBay

Anyone have or seen these? What sort of artwork is it?

Just curious,
Jeremy

The big news is that I have RSS feeds working for the News module. The URL for your RSS reader is

http://tolkienguide.com/modules/news/backendt.php?topicid=2

Let me know if you have any troubles!

Also, the fanzine section of the Collector's Guide is growing quite rapidly. Aiglos has given me permission to fully index their back issues and cover scans. I've put a lot of Niekas and Unicorn back issues in the database. A huge number of Russian fanzines have been added, but I need some help translating Russian - anyone able to contribute in this regard?

What do you think of this Tolkien signature?

Ronald Tolkien signature dated Sep 1972

He's discussing a bust (presumably of himself), concerning reproduction rights. Seems like it could be real. (No interest personally in spending that much money on just his signature, but wondering if people think it's real for comparison purposes.)

So, I am not a Mithril Miniatures collector, but I watch occasionally on eBay, mostly for some basic understanding when I get around to that part of the Collector's Guide. For the most part, they seem reasonable (a few pounds each), and interesting tiny little figurines (for role playing games, but when painted professionally qualify as art I think.)

Then, this auction:

Aragorn 1988 Christmas figurine

£1,070.00 (over $2000) for a 54mm lead figure, unpainted.

Anyone have a link to a Mithril Miniatures fan website/guide? Anyone around here collect these? I'd love to know what's out there, etc. Clearly I am in the dark a bit on this particular market.
