It does appear to be first impressions (for the two books photos show the colophon and title pages for). Could be a good deal for a collector interested in rebound sets!

Hi laurel,

given that the seller posted high-res photos of all six pages that you could print out for free, seems like paying is not really needed?

I have been known to buy auction catalogs that have handwriting samples printed in them, etc., but this goes beyond what I would be willing to pay for, unfortunately. Probably legal issues here too.

Wow, that oil painting has a horrible signature and no provenance and no relation to any artwork properly attributed to him - sounds like a steal! (The seller stealing from the buyer...)

eBay does ask for your date of birth in order to create an account as confirmed by their FAQ page here:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/reg/contextual/RegisterEnterInfo.html

Hopefully you put in a fake DOB when you created your account, because there is no way to see what you entered, or to change it, once you have your account. But fear not, it is a permanent part of your record now!
