I'm surprised that the seller thinks they are 'leather' bound, I have never found them that convincing. They don't feel right which is I assume why the latter green BCA books were quarter bound in leather and look and feel a lot better, but must have more expensive to originally buy.

Anyone have any ideas as to original prices of these BCA editions?

I had an email from Amazon today saying that I can expect to get this book by the 1st May. Seeing as the book is not released until the 5th May, this is very unusual.

Possibly the book will come out by the 1st May.

Interview about the new book, from TheOneRing.net

Contains information on the book, shows Brian Cox reading some of the book for the Audio Book and also explains how the cover was shown.

Harper Collins are running a quiz to win a Sony eReader & exclusive editions of The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún and The Children of Húrin (Super Deluxe versions)

It is very a difficult quiz LOL, anybody on this board will get all three questions right. Sadly it is only open to UK residents

Deagol, I notice from your website only one printing of the 1994 Book Club Edition.

What do you think about unpriced HC books being for BCA, like some of the HOME editions?
