I think the seller is way overpricing this book (US $14,999.99 or £9,283.32 for a UK 2nd Impression Hobbit).

It has been rebound in what looks like a typical UK library binding to me.

I know this has been on this thread before, but Beren I'll offer you 50 pence for the books in the picture, current price on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/All-Books-J-R-R ... Books&hash=item2561b85c2f

I know that he has no rights to sell the eBooks, but I'd love to believe (in an ideal world, which we don't live in) that eBay could do something about this seller, and I am sure that I'll be very disappointed

Beren's books that I'm sure this eBay seller has no rights to use this image

Not a good answer to my question, I am now more suspicious of these items

I have not seen these signed labels before, can you give any more information on the event that you got them from?

The event was the Fellowship Festival in England (I forgot which one of them) and they are pretty unique as they are sorta business cards stuck into the books. It was Royd Tolkien that brought them, he got his granddad Christopher to sign them as he couldnt come. I have completely forgotten who the other autograph belongs to :( I think in all there were only like 10? Maybe 20? The convention (Fellowship Festival) is not done anymore as the one who did the others sorta didnt pay the actors as promised or something like that. There is no official site for it.

One of the book dealers that you see in this film (the first) is Nigel Williams from Cecil Court, in London, off of Charing Cross Road.

I walked past his shop (my favourite shop) yesterday and it is closed down, as appears to be his website, very sad

I was in his bookshop one Saturday and a lady came in with a very small child (infant) and said "Do you have a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Nigel said Yes, We have a copy and this is the price (as it was a first edition), the woman looked terrified and thought this is the wrong shop for her and left very quickly.

I'd like to state good luck to Nigel Williams for the future.

Please update on Dealers in this film who no longer are able to supply us with the items we need i.e. books?
