Because most countries are an a depression at the moment and book prices are being hit, they are not essential purchases.

Also we have not seen any details of condition of this item (it would have to be in immaculate condition to get these prices) or anything related to provenance as yet.

It seems the best approach is to ignore this website, thanks for the info

I have seen the Ringers film and garm's review is spot on, awful and to be avoided.

I'd have to question the valuation, £50,000 for a signed Hobbit, you are not going to get this today, a Swiss purchaser vastly inflated these prices in recent years, but they were association copies.

Can anyone who sees this item, let us know the provenance of the item?

This DVD/BluRay review by someone called J.W.Brawn calls for Tolkien experts to provide some depth (about 13 minutes into the socalled review) to The Lord of the Rings films, he thinks these individuals are suitable, Cliff Broadway and Rebekah Platt.

Who are these people and how are they Tolkien experts? I'm sure we could provide the names of real experts

Very good start price for the UK 1st printing, don't have any affiliation with the seller though.
