J.R.R. Tolkien - Morgoth's Ring.

The history of Middle Earth completed by Christopher Tolkien.

Never read, just stored on a shelf since 1991 so very slight yellowing to page edges.

I have more from the set on sale.

eBay Item #221555125622

Nope. My 2037 100th Anniversary Edition of the Hobbit looks great on my bookshelf.

If you are a dedicated enough Tolkien Collector, you will always buy the books and have them on your shelves well in advance of their publication.

I really wouldn't like to lose a book trying to get £10 or £20 off the price if you want it.

Completely agree. But that was why I put in a best offer. I didn't want it enough. If I had "really wanted" it, I would of course used the BIN.

Congrats on purchase. And indeed, I too have only seen a few advance copies over the years.

Saw it before it sold.

Toyed with the idea of buying. Would have if the dustjacket was in better condition.

In the end, I decided to put in a best offer (which I did) but it sold soon after.

Interesting enough though.

If anyone has one of these and it still has the original printed price on the dust jacket, or is price-clipped but has an A&U sticker, could you tell me the original price?

Thanks in advance

Original Price £1.75 (Printed on dust jacket).
