I also got a notification to say that my COH Deluxe's had shipped (at the 80p price). And the Regular Hardbacks at 20p (They had the Standard Edition at the incorrect price also last november).

With regards to where the Signed Edition will be available for purchase: Here is a reply I received a couple of weeks ago from someone in Harpercollins.

"This £250 limited edition, if it happens, will be available exclusively via HarperCollins.co.uk and not available anywhere else. It's still speculative, so does not have a pub date assigned to it yet. It will probably come in the autumn, certainly not in April 2007."

Interestingly, the reply stated (though I did not ask) that it would be priced at £250. Though I imagine that the price could change (if indeed this edition ever makes it to print), but it looks that they are aiming to price it at £250.

Hi Beren,

Are you sure it was a 1st/1st Fellowship? Cannot find the auction in the completed listings. Cannot imagine a 1st/1st Fellowship selling for anywhere close to £100 (or close to £500 for that matter).

I saw a Worn (and poorly advertised) 1st/1st ROTK go for just over £100 alright.

Ebay seems to be a little quieter in general and prices have come down somewhat. But as always, the quality and rare editions still seem to sell very well.

I happened to order this from Amazon (adveristed as the 70th Anniversary Hardcover), but received a regular reprint of the 1995 Edition (duly returned). Not sure if it actually exists at all yet in Hardcover.
