Yes indeed. Bought a couple for £135 on Amazon. Think the 3rd Party Seller (UKPaperbookshop) had a misprice on them.

Didn't realise that they made more (beyond the original 500) of the 4 volume set. Where did you see/read this?

Thought £1000 was a pretty good price for a matching number set.

Think original prices for LOTR was £330-£350 and Hobbit & Silmarillion around £130 each (but rough prices from memory).

Can only speak from my own experiences with the .com and the .co.uk sites, but I always find them the cheapest place to buy tolkien books.

And no limits of £25 sterling total order etc for free shipping.

Though Amazon now own them, apparantely they are pretty much allowed to operate independently as they always did.
