Rest assured Orcraider didn't let it go for cheap. Although, speaking as someone who doesn't own a copy, the price it sold for (privately) was alarmingly high. Think another zero --& some!

I thought it was pretty uneven. It stated it was focusing on the Laxdaela Saga, and promptly didn't talk (much) about it. The general historical overviews touched on too much, and were far too superficial. Tolkien was discussed, accurately enough, but it had very little to do with the topic of the present programme. Since the focus was Iceland I thought they might discuss Morris. Hopefully some more programmes in the serious will be of better quality.

Does anyone know when English and Medieval Studies is actually out, or where it is available? DB, in his interview, talks about it like it were already available. Pieter's Amazon link doesn't go anywhere, so to speak --but he states publication date as May 5th...

Yes Carl, one suspected you might collect them!

I actually just bought XVII before any of you replied after reading Garth's review in TS. It sounds like a very important piece, well worth purchasing & reading. Unfortunate so many are OOP though. What's the point in publishing this stuff & not being able to keep it in print? I appreciate the work the guys who produce all this stuff put in, but why can't these be kept available via POD or something. Carl has managed to keep VT available with the collected volumes of VT, as mentioned.
