...did anyone ever copy the material within the J.R.R. Tolkien: A Descriptive Bibliography link, before it became unavailable? (or remember if it ever was available?) [Always been curious as to whether anyone cut and pasted it into a word file etc.]

Need some help!

I've always wanted a copy of the Easton Press' The Silmarillion; but eBay listings always have new/sealed copies, and nobody seems sure of the printing status.

Whats with the printing history of Easton Press publications? In particular when did they first print The Silmarillion?; when were subsequent printings?; and how are these differentiated on the copyright page (or otherwise)?

Any help much appreciated. Information on any of the Tolkien Easton Press publications would also be welcomed. Also, has anyone bought the CoH Easton Press yet? (and have any information/comments on it?)

I think you can be pretty certain that priced copies did not originate from Book Clubs. Yes, one or two may have slipped through the net; but Book Clubs would almost always sell copies (regardless of origin or intended market) without prices -regardless of how this was done.

So, while I agree that un-priced copies (clipped or genuinely unpriced) may have come from either market; priced copies almost certainly did not come from book clubs.

Does anyone have any real concrete evidence that Book Clubs regularly distributed books with prices still on them? If not, then I think it can be said with a fair degree of certainty that priced copies are not Book Club (and are therefore trade).

Now, help me come up with an excuse/explanation for that 1982 Super Deluxe Silmarillion I need to buy!

Try finding a signed one though! I'm seriously looking at acquiring a copy (& getting my excuses ready!)... anyone selling?
