Did Tolkien actually sign any US titles that folk know of? I'm guessing there must be a few out there; but are they not pretty uncommon amongst signed Tolkien books? (Beren?)

(I'm sure someone will confirm what number we're now on.) When I had to send my faulty copy back (at publication time), I received #153; instead of 50-odd. When I contacted HC in late February this year, sales had only crawled up to #194. Pretty slow I think; perhaps reflecting the slight overpriced nature (remember it was originally meant to be ~£250). Interested to hear how far they've got after a good year of sales...

10% discount would have been nice on the new Tales PR; unfortunatley this email came out after most people had bought it though! Just received mine tonight; haven't opened yet tho'...

Is there going to be anything different between this signed 'exclusive' deluxe, and the normal deluxe?; besides the signed page. I'm wondering whether to bother keeping my order for the 'normal' deluxe, on Amazon, standing or not.

I agree, this site offers nothing at present (besides the promise of these exclusives) that Amazon doesn't; besides slightly higher prices...

Well, I took crayon to mean coloured wax, as you do. So the US and UK meaning appear to be the same. In UK a coloured pencil is... well, a coloured pencil. Although you'd call it a colored pencil!

The photo is poor, so you can't tell either way. Although with the seller being from the UK I'd guess he didn't mean pencil, and did indeed intend to mean crayon as you understand it. What was Tolkien playing at?; inconsiderate so-and-so...

Incidently, check out the postage! Having never purchased a book at £20K, I have to ask -is this how much it would cost to deliver? (or is this a slip? £3.50 perhaps? )
