Is this definite Wellinghall? Just, the advert is still in latest AH (or have I just received this really late?) Has ADCBooks not officially informed everyone? I mean, people would have had hotels & what not booked. Surprised Malcolm Lindley hasn't put out an email...

[Yes, I edited this post, after not reading Trotter's original post!]

fireandwater.com website was circa 1999, soon to be replaced by tolkien.co.uk; or at least that is what happened on the copyright pages of The Silmarillion pb's around that period. That aside, what a rarity!

I think I agree Jeremy. It is probably to the great benefit of this sites standing that discussion is public, and not hidden away --so members & non-members alike can benefit from the insight some of the genuine (i.e. myself definitively excluded) experts provide.

Although, we should continue some sort of private forum & continue to post in it, just to annoy Deagol!

Good old HC; can't make up their mind what it's going to be! Who's Pieter getting all this from anyway? Does he still have the ear of David Brawn?

It will indeed be pretty expensive Trotter. £336 all in (if discount applies as you suggest); £364 including the index. What kind of horrific boxset would it be, with 12 volumes? *chuckle* (I assume you mean some sort of combined volumes...)

Now, I need to go and read that fabulously long Hammond & Scull article, and curse Angi & Neil under my breath for the Moreton postponement...
