Anyone noticed that the HC website is showing a hardback edition of Children of Hurin as having been published on 1 August this year? As far as I can see, this looks exactly the same as the original 2007 edition.

Has anyone bought it, and is it genuinely a new (presumably 2nd) edition? If so, are there any noticeable changes?

Can you give a link, I have not noticed this?

Here's the link:

http://www.tolkien.co.uk/titles/84428/the-children-of-húrin-j-r-r-tolkien-9780007246229

I can't see anything new about it, except the publication date.

It is not even released yet, but you can get signed copies of Jemima Catlin's Hobbit from Mark Faith, would it not be better if HarperCollins issued signed copies (they do have a website tolkien.co.uk), and not have to pay a £12 markup on the Amazon price from Mr Faith

eBay Item #231033693012

If you want a signed copy, then it may be worth waiting to see what does appear on tolkien.co.uk

There are signed copies on sale in Waterstones stores.

Tolkien.co.uk now seems to be listing a new three volume hardback collector's edition of LOTR, due out in October. It appears to match the recent Hobbit collector's edition, and is similarly described as a 'film tie-in', although I struggle to see why.
