I didn't think so. Thanks, I do feel better that it's not an isolated case. What is the best way to protect the bookmark? or am i being way to anal about something that's not really that important?

I just thought, I live in the US! Does anyone know if HC will only ship replacements to the UK, like they did with the book? I guess this could create somewhat of a problem. Unfortunately I don't have any friends that live in or are visiting the UK.

I'm glad that's what you think, because I feel the same way. It's funny to me that Easton Press doesn't give much, if any, printing information. I assume they want it like that though, which also makes it easier to get the chance to have a very nice book that can be signed or have an original sketch and not have to worry about if it's the 1st/1st.

thank you for the advice. What's the best way to contact HarperCollins? Also, in order to exchange the book, will it matter that I do not have a receipt?

All i am interested in is if they were all indeed the skinny, thin, ribbons? mostly i just want to know if everyone else's has started to unravel.

I did buy mine off of e-bay, but i am almost positive the gentleman I purchased it from hadn't previously taken it out to read by the fire, and likewise I have handled it as little as possible, although i do gawk over it constantly!!
