I have acquired the CoH SD in a very fortunate way (I won't go on on this, because some of you know how), but I wouldn't spend more than £200 on it (but that's because I'm a student and life is quite expensive for us).
I probably wouldn't spend more than £100 on LoSaG SD, because I find it one of the most (if not thé most) unattractive deluxe editions, and that has mainly to do with the color.
I won't buy an unattractive edition of a Tolkien book neither if I already have it in another edition (unless it is a real bargain, of course).

Trotter: As I only have a limited space for books, I only have about 500 Tolkien Books, so I have had to go for quality rather than quantity, something that I'm sure that a lot of other board members have also done

Well, I go for quality (and beauty) too, rather than for quantity
I'd rather buy one nice expensive book, than several less beautiful cheaper ones.

Mine has also, but like garm says, it's not that bad. You can only see it when you have a closer look at it.

I think I have about 140 books by and on Tolkien, and a total of about 200 (or more).

I found this on eBay today. Is it a new edition of the paperback edition of LoSaG? Or is there another explanation? (Perhaps a pre-publishing cover design?) The seller mentioned '2010' as the publishing year, so it has to be a new edition. I wouldn't have thought that that many copies were sold of the LoSaG...
No matter what it is, I think it is a beautiful design...
