In general, this is the edition cover I am talking about :

http://images.paperbackswap.com/l/81/4681/9780395974681.jpg

Here is the situation: My copy has a round gilded "badge" on the cover that advertises the upcoming movies and is also a book club edition. Scanning ebay and other images online I have not seen one that doesn't have the movie advertisement or that isn't a book club edition.

If you have a copy without the advertising gilded shape or that isn't a book club I would very much appreciate your help. What would be supper helpful is images of the front and back covers. Pictures of the board and spine and a picture of the copyright page. If possible I'd also appreciate your permission to use the images in an online bibliography until I can acquire my my own copy. But mostly, I just need evidence that they exist.

Thanks!

>As far as I can remember (I set my rules >10 year ago!) I didn't list reprint of extracts from the major works. Where do you draw the line as to what to include? - a sentence, a paragraph, a page, a chapter....

Makes sense. For my own collecting criteria I generally draw the line at a chapter.

>It may be that the book was published in the USA (not the UK) which would explain it not being on TolkienBooks.net

I was actually looking for a USA edition and couldn't find one (Im working on a bibliography of US Tolkien-related work). The three publishers above are all UK based it would seem.
