With respect to the seller it certainly isnt worth £99. An interesting piece but without Tolkiens library sticker or something otherwise how can you be sure it was from his library and thus its value is fairly nominal I think.
For £100 you are better off picking up a nice lord of rings set, and there are a number on ebay at moment.
After thought:
I thought all of Tolkiens library had the sticker on them but i guess these 'minor' items probaby didnt.

Good point Remy and i know what you mean. I guess it means more to original owner. I havent got this all in one edition but have got the the 3 vol set which is fantastic. Maybe having both is greedy although once you have the bug you just have to have it ! ;)

Agree boneschops. You would think after 1-2 or maybe even 3 -4 weeks they would realise price just too high to sell. This being said i guess at 50p -£1 a go it is worth it on on items worth £100s - certainly a lot cheaper than auction houses at 15-20%. This is I suspect the factor which drives people in direction of ebay.

Hi Bruffyboy
Trust u are still happy. This set went unsold for £599.96 - guess someone withdrew their bid! thats ebay for you.

The all in one book didnt sell either and is readvertised. Still thing £800 is too much.
