Hi sweetbrier
Are you the seller of this book?
I agree with Stu - this book is not really worth anything i'm afraid. It has certainly not been done by Tolkien and appears as far removed from his preciseness as you could get. Just looks like a collection of cuttings - maybe taken from a book 1960s onwards but nothing of value.

O my o my what is going on.
Maybe the ash from the UK has drifted the sellers way and confused his/her mind?
Maybe it was typed by our favourite doctor on that famous typewriter?
or
Maybe alien's have landed and glued it together for Tolkien?

The latter more likely and that says it all!

£468 - a bargain - mmmm
Oxfam sometimes have some odd copies for sale at reasonable prices but i think you will find ebay best bet. There is a nice set 1-9 i think up at moment - not sure what reserve is but certainly cheaper thans £468.

I too was having problems buying the index on Friday - gave up will try again later /tomorrow.

Hi Seany Boy
Oddly enough i was looking at this last night too. The seller is good and i have no reason to question reputation but his copy for sale does not look like the link above. The size of this item is 24.5 x 14.5 so it kind of fits in with sizes above and understand was purchased from a very very reputable Tolkien dealer but no watermark evident.

Were the booklets handed out at the lecture and then reprinted?
Cant imagine this to be true ?

Folks
Can anyone help here to understand printing order ?
Am sure tolkien books site would have helped if up and running!
Thanks
