Maybe you're all tired about these kind of questions, but I just found this offered for a sale in Sweden (and few such items turn up around here):

The Lord of the Rings, three volumes, ninth impression 1974

George Allen & Unwin LTD, London, England. Close to new condition, never read.

Price: 600 SEK (about 58 GBP)

Do you reckon the price is reasonable?

Reading this thread a couple of days ago, I went to the web site of the Moseley Society and ordered the publication (vol. 1). It just arrived with the mail today, so yes, they still have some volumes left for purchase.

Many thanks, Trotter!

(I tried first with the search function, but must have missed it - sorry!)

Today I ordered the Farmer Giles of Ham anniversary edition (HarperCollins), edited by Hammond and Scull, from a Swedish internet bookshop. The product description did not mention which anniversary, and the image of the cover of the book was too small to read the text. Now, I'm being a little confused on the alternative covers I've seen on Amazon.uk:

Amazon.uk

The cover of this edition clearly says 60th Anniversary Edition, and it makes sense since the edition is said to be published in December 2008. However, since the product description says: "This is the 50th anniversary edition...", I wonder if any new material was added to the 60th Ann. Ed.?

Thank you very much! (Wayne, would you mind if I use some of this info on the wiki Tolkien Gateway? We're slowly working on a list and individual articles of rare or unpublished JRRT letters)
