Looks like it's back up again, only for £1,250.00 You should have bought it earlier!!!

I would say that is indeed one of my slipcases. Don't understand why they don't mention it's a reproduction, like my description always says. They managed to copy the rest of my description, so why not that part?

Hello Fellow Tolkien Collectors,

I am getting ready to send my Tales of Gondolin and Ruins of Osgiliath down to my binder to have him make up a couple of new cases for them. Some of you may have seen these in the past, and they are really nice. I was curious if anyone else might be interested in having either a single case or a set of them made at the same time. I would be more than happy to pass along the cases at the binders charge plus a fee of $50. to help offsett the costs of shipping, dies, etc. Not trying to make any money, I just don't make these up very often and thought someone else might be interested. I will attach photo's to show what they look like. If anyone is interested, just drop me an email to info@tolkienbookshelf.com

Beren,

When I purchased the signature, it was on a scrap piece of the Miramar paper, with a 2nd signature on the same piece. The person that sold it to me said he was keeping the note that came with it, from Tolkien saying he was enclosing two signature for him to stick in his books. So it wasn't cut out of a book or anything like that. Tolkien actually provided the scrap piece of paper along with the letter.

Photo of letter attached

At least this one isn't from our usual friend. I don't think I've ever run across a cd or a bar coded copy of a book or whatever double signed.....can't imagine why
