Glad you reopened this thread. I actually made two mistakes in bidding on the auction. 1. I was confused, no doubt, and thought it was one of the earlier copies. (was not).

Also entered US Dollars bid, but forgot the auction was in BPS. Not the first time that's happened!! Can get a little expensive when you drop the conversion.

I just noticed this "signed" copy being listed on Bloomsbury in one of their upcoming auctions. The signature looks exactly like the fakes from our old friend on ebay. Does anyone else think this might be another fake?

I was also curious about the publishing date on the book. I would have thought that would have been after 1973, probably 1975 or there abouts. Anyone else have a better date? The signature looks good, but something doesn't seem right. I also agree on the check vs cheque, a little unusual at best.

Hi Beren, yes it is me. I've tried many times in the past, and it just does not do any good to complain to ebay. You can't warn off unsuspecting bidders either with the new hidden monikers, so not much anyone can do about it. About the only recourse seems to be posting here, so maybe someone may see it before they bid.
