I imagine all the fan-sites will be abuzz with the news, and speculation will run wild as to who will be cast in the role of Bilbo. Personally I had hoped the whole thing would have died a slow, horrible death - but I guess there is just way too much potential cash on the table, what with all the "collectibles" and other rubbish that will inevitably accompany these movies. As for jackson’s "incomparable story-telling" - I can't wait for more dwarf-tossing jokes and wizard fights.

I guess I'm more of a hunter than a collector. I have the resources to track down and purchase items available online (within reason), and have done so on occassion. My real joy comes in perusing used bookstores and second hand shops looking for unexpected finds. True, I do come up empty handed more times than not - and many times will come across editions I already have - I usually pick these up anyway as the price is usually very good and I pass them on to several friends who are casual collectors as well. It's all good, and a wonderful hobby no matter what the focus one may have.

They look to be the exact same book - but for very different prices ($189 vs $750)

Is it just me, or is this guy asking very high prices for the items he has listed?
for example:
