Hi everyone,
I am looking to make / have made a custom bookcase and was looking for some advice. One of my ideas is to line the shelves with something like velvet or suede. In my eyes this would prevent any marking as I slide the books in and out - is this a fisable idea? Does anyone know where I could get something like this?

My question is: was the same book ever released without the box?

The picture of the book seems to be the right one, and the book depository told me they would refund if the book wasn't the one in the pic, but it also seems a mighty low price for a slipcased edition. Any ideas anyone?

For me it's about slipcased and boxed editions. As I am early in my collection, I am going for limited editions and 'fancy looking' books first.

I have a brand new, shrinkwrapped copy of the folio hobbit for sale - £20 including UK delivery, or will consider swap for something of similar value (all offers considered!) Please just PM me. I bought it as I quite liked the idea of keeping a sealed copy of everything, but now just fancy getting something else!
