The original price was £100, while £250 was for the 1992 Deluxe Illustrated Edition of LoTR limited to 250 copies (another set that I'd like to own...)
I agree with Khamul, £750 is too much.

based on the last ebay auctions, which I think reflect the "true" average price, I would say between £400 and £600, depending on the conditions.

I'm searching for a copy of the HC 1998 deluxe edition of the Silmarillion signed by C. Tolkien and T. Nasmith. I was wondering if someone in the forum has one for sale or can help me in my search. thanks!

I think it has been re-listed together with the release of the Art of the Hobbit, the Pocket Hobbit etc.
I bought my set 2 weeks ago from The Book Depository UK
