Some days ago, I bought a first edition of "The Lord of the Rings", 1954-1955 (2/2/1). I've also the first edition 4/2/2.

I've compared the "The Two Towers" (2/2) and "The Return of the King" (1/2), and I have found some differences, that I reported in a note on my website.

What do you think about that?

Thanks for the compliments,

@Urulöké: yes, every shelf is double-stacked. My collection has about 1,700 books from 44 countries (from 1915 to the present).

Dear friends,
On my blog, I created - in my experience - a section with value with the value of all the Italian editions of Tolkien.
I hope it will be of your interest.

Dear,
a question on the relationship between Tolkien and Esperanto.
Excluded the letter of 1932 on "The British Esperantist" of May 1932 (A Philologist on Esperanto) do you know these two references published on "The British Esperantist" in 1933?
1. 24th British Esperanto Congress, Oxford-Easter 1933.
2. The Educational Value of Esperanto, a document signed also by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Here the English version of my article.
