A friend of mine bought a book, in which he found a sign (see the picture). He asked me if the sign could be JRRT's. I don't know if JRR ever signed "John Reuel", so I think this may be a sign of his son, John Francis Reuel Tolkien, instead.

It looks a genuine Tolkien autograph and it seems to be an early one as well. Tolkien did use John Reuel in several occasions. Please do sent me some larger images along and some more info on the book! I'm very interested to learn more about this book.

What do you guys think of this signature? John F. R. circa 1992 if it is valid (I think so, but would love others to give their opinions.)
