These are an odd one. Half the time they go for a tenner (that's what I paid for mine) and then the other half seem to go for daft money like this. Considering the book is a just a cheap and nasty paperback with hard covers, a tenner seems like the right end of the price spectrum....
Not happy that the I have to list this item, as the seller seems to be very happy to always be in this thread.

WorldofRareBooks is a repeat offender when it comes to daft prices for utter crap on eBay. I think these guys buy in books for next to nothing that have been donated to charities... and then try to on-sell them for ridiculous prices.

Kiwis and Australians are usually good for a laugh when it comes to daft asking prices for junk... This guy won't even go to the post office when you give him $500 for a $5 item.
The books I treasure the most in my collection are those really unique ones... that pre-date the movies.

This is #50 of 500 total copies worldwide! Awesome number to have! Signed by Christopher Tolkien (son of JRR Tolkien and Middle Earth, Lord of the Rings map-maker), and Alan Lee, a renowned artist and illustrator this book in a fine manner.

The blurb in the detail of the more recent advert is priceless. It reads like something from one of those companies that used to sell awful collectables via adverts in the back of the Sunday newspaper supplements.
For the record, if anyone really, desperately wants to pay GBP 646.69 for an SD CoH (with an RRP of 350 -- or 250 if you ask HarperCollins nicely), they can have my #3 !
