Here's something odd...

A "custom" slipcase for The Silmarillion and BoLTs... that doesn't fit, being too tall. Strange.

I wonder if there is any edition that fits. I also wonder if one would want to use the slipcase, even if there was such an edition.

Any one here considers them to be sets, many do so as in ebay article as I am informed.

He has not even got pictures of the books in good condition from the Internet. Beggars belief.
