Here's someone who doesn't know that a 1954 Hobbit is not a 1st edition - (or does he?)

This is way over the top, even for a rare item. For the sellers information if they see this, ebay do not allow you to refuse Paypal, I don't know where the 750 came from, more like 200 at most.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lord-of-the ... ks_UK&hash=item3ccdbac2ae

£5000 starting price

Gold leaf red leather bound in slip case ultra rare 1st limited edition of 1000 of The Silmarillion.
First published in 1977.
This is number 115 of the 1000 every made, but have been told that only 750 ever made it to the open market.
I will only accept a cheque bankers draft or bank transfer. Sorry no paypal.
Will post to anyway in the world using DHL courier.
Will have to discuss with successful buyer carriage for this item depending on where it is going.
Even though it states paypal payment I will NOT accept paypal

This is the second copy of the 1982 I've come across really recently, with both quoting £5000; which is curious. Admittedly, the other seller had a signed one. Still, £5000 is crazy money.
