These are the letters that David Miller withdrew from sale last year after problems with the text and signature.
They are remarkably similiar to the "Higgins" and "Hooper" letters and I suspect all these "letters" could all be done by the same person, and I am sure that is not Tolkien. Attach file:  forgery.jpg (61.64 KB) forgery2.jpg (70.28 KB)

Not really sure now if these have already been posted (perhaps we should have a more systematic way of doing this?), but anyway, what do people think about these:
The Hobbit Signed J.R.R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings JRR Tolkien Handwritten Letter Signed Autographed ALS (I know that bidding has already ended for them, but I am still interested to know if they might be authentic)

The Michael Tolkien book is certainly authentic - I have one or two examples myself. I know the vendor; he's a good honest dealer.

Agree with garm. This dealer is good and always honest when i have had dealings with him. Bit pricey but a nice book with history
