how to identify a hobbit book i have never seen before? |

how does one go about identifying a book value if i have never seen it or cant find any where..a hobbit book smaller size like a paper back but hard cover--red velvet-has some type papers in it not copied--hobbit or there and back again ( revised version ) table of contents also typed--back page a glued article on why and what is revised? undated--no publisher--any clues anyone????

Hi, I assume you are referring to the horrible cut-and-paste nightmare of a book listed on eBay. Fortunately it is very easy to give an accurate value for this one: Zero. The handy thing about this value is that it applies in any currency :)

Are you the seller of this book? I agree with Stu - this book is not really worth anything i'm afraid. It has certainly not been done by Tolkien and appears as far removed from his preciseness as you could get. Just looks like a collection of cuttings - maybe taken from a book 1960s onwards but nothing of value.
