Hi I am selling my collection of Tolkien books on ebay. Items include The Tolkien Library boxed set of hardback Silmarillion, Hobbit & LOTR, LOTR deluxe edition, boxed set of Carpenter Biography & Foster Middle Earth Guide paperbacks and more, all in very good condition. Listings commence Tuesday 13th July 21.00 for ten days, low start price, sensible reserves or none at all in some cases. Happy bidding!

PS - Jimbo, one of your auctions (270606798788) does not mention "Tolkien" anywhere in it, and thus does not show up in my widget above. Probably also means that you are not getting as many search results on eBay as you would like, so you might want to add it to the description or title somehwere.

Can anyone comment on The Silmarillion in The Tolkien Library boxset? Haven't bothered to look anything up here or anything, but two previous copies I've noted had 4th impressions of The Silmarillion. Also, with a school presentation certificate? --& only in The Silmarillion? Would I be presumptious to think this might not be the original copy?

I am guessing here, but the seller mentions at the very top:
I was given these books as a school prize but I already had the paperbacks, so they have stayed in their box for over thirty years. Based on that statement, I think that explains the presentation certificate (they picked one of the books to put it in, rather than on the box or making one for each book). The printing I can't answer to without being in front of my handy Hammond for a bit more research.
