I assume UT is going to be similar in style to all the other slipcased Deluxe editions that have appeared since 2004? We'll soon see, I suppose, when HC get an image up. Amazon already have it listed at £60, pre-order.

In regard to Roverandom, Wayne & Christina stated in their blog ("Tolkien Notes 5"):
This situation will be remedied at the end of June, however, when Roverandom will be one of only two books reissued by HarperCollins as part of a special promotion, Independent Booksellers Week, in which a few titles from larger publishers will be released exclusively to independent bookshops. Three months later, the books will become available through other channels, such as Amazon, and will go also into the international markets.Anyone any idea how you find out what independent bookstores are participating?

Have a look at their website, they have find a local bookshop as one of the options.
"A key new element for IBW 2013 is our programme of IBW Bookseller Collectibles. Inspired by Independent Record Store Day www.recordstoreday.co.uk we are promoting creating a small range of titles, in association with supporting publishers, of IBW product, available only through independents, for IBW 2013. We are working with as many publishers as possible to achieve this, and in doing so, creating reasons for consumers to visit indie bookshops during the Week. Increasing the consumer attractions for the Week will help to supplement the events programming already established, will deliver a real local and commercial message for booksellers to take to their communities – so crucial to a healthy bookselling sector – as well as attract more bookseller engagement, and the reach of the campaign across the UK, building commitment to bookshops and the books they sell."

I will be going to Goldsboro Bookshop in London (Cecil Court to get my copy), the picture is from last year's event.

I will make some inquiries with HarperCollins to check, it needs to be as you described.

Anyone else noticed that copies of the new Roverandom edition are being offered for sale? Have I missed something -- I thought it was supposed to be out in September?
See a few posts back Morgan --they're selling them exclusively through independent bookstores for the first few months. This edition will be available online & through Amazon, etc, (i.e. general release) in September, as you say.
I was confused too!

EDIT: And just to add --Halcyon Books () have copies for sale for £6.94 (not sure how they're managing any kind of mark up at this price) & ship to Sweden for £3.50. £10.44 all in for you!
