A letter from Tolkien to a Mr. Hooton, written on 13 February 1963 has turned up on eBay. Appears to be a form letter?
In any case, each seller gets at least one thing wrong in the description: this sale has "Mr. Hotton", and an earlier sale called the writer of the letter "Tolkein"...

And in all these letters this Tolkien fellow is always banging on about this "Silmarillion" which he's nearly finished writing!
